You’ll start seeing and hearing some changes soon—new signs in and around branches starting January 3, staff at EquiShare branches answering the phone with "Quantum Credit Union, formerly EquiShare Credit Union," awesome new shirts for our amazing staff, and other fun stuff.

We’ll bring everything together on March 1, 2022.

We believe EquiShare and Quantum complement each other’s strengths. By combining forces, coming together as one entity, we can provide even more to members and our communities. This partnership will ensure we meet the growing financial needs of our members, provide greater convenience, offer enhanced digital products, provide opportunities for our employees, and much more.

Our most important asset has always been our people. We have an amazing team of employees. We are grateful and excited that all EquiShare Credit Union employees will join the team of Quantum Credit Union.

All employees are considered the first priority at both credit unions, and Quantum Credit Union believes strongly in developing people through education and opportunity. Over the next two months, EquiShare employees will be training thoroughly to ensure we're prepared to serve all of your needs.

For now, EquiShare members should use EquiShare branches for their services. However, some transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and payments can be completed at any branch through CO-OP Shared Branching.

EquiShare members will be able to use shared branching until Friday, February 25th at 4:30 pm. After that, shared branching will be unavailable until Tuesday, March 1st, at which point you will be able to use shared branching as a member of Quantum Credit Union.

For the purposes of shared branching, your account will remain with EquiShare Credit Union until February 27th. Starting March 1st, your account will be with Quantum Credit Union.

Yes, your accounts will remain separate.

Quantum Credit Union offers a free Bill Pay service through its online banking system; however, your current payees, settings, and payment history will not be converted. You will need to setup your payees in the new Quantum bill pay system after March 1, 2022. 

Prior to February 15, 2022, we recommend capturing your current Bill Pay records from the EquiShare Credit Union bill pay service so that inputting data into the Quantum Credit Union system will be easier and more efficient.

Please note that Quantum Credit Union staff members will be happy to assist you in setting up your bill pay service beginning March 1, 2022.

You can continue using your EquiShare Bill Pay for now, however payments scheduled with a process date on or after 2/16/2022 will not be processed or paid.

If you would like to save your payment history, it must be downloaded by 5:00 PM ET on 2/15/2022. We will be unable to provide payment history after this time.

Don’t worry, your direct deposits will continue to post to your account as normal. Beginning on March 1, 2022, we encourage you to monitor these transactions during the first couple of cycles to ensure they function as you wish.

You will receive your new Quantum Credit Union debit or ATM card beginning the week of February 22, 2022.  Follow the instructions included in the card mailer to activate the card.  You may select a custom PIN during the card activation process.

You may begin using the new Quantum Credit Union debit or ATM card on March 1, 2022.  Your EquiShare Credit Union debit or ATM card should no longer be used after this time.

No, you will not receive a new EquiShare credit card. After March 1, 2022, we encourage you to apply for a Quantum Credit Union credit card.

There will be no changes to your current credit card, its balance, utilization, or payments.

You will not incur additional fees or interest charges as a result of the Quantum Credit Union and EquiShare Credit Union partnership.

The interest rate will not change as a result of the Quantum Credit Union and EquiShare Credit Union partnership.

You will continue to mail your credit card payment to the address indicated in your monthly statement.

Your automatic transfers will be converted for you. After March 1, 2022, we recommend you keep an eye on these transfers for the first couple of cycles to ensure they process as you intended.

Keep in mind you have full control to setup automatic, recurring transfers using online or mobile banking. You can add, change, or stop them at any time!

• Dividend rates on share, checking, money market, and individual retirement accounts will be accrued, earned, and paid at the prevailing, published Quantum Credit Union rate.
• If you currently have an EquiShare Credit Union certificate of deposit, your rate will remain at the contract rate until maturity, at which time it will roll over at the current prevailing and published rate unless you close the certificate within the grace period.
• If you currently have an EquiShare Credit Union fixed-rate and term loan, your interest rate will remain at the contracted loan rate until maturity.
• If you currently have an EquiShare Credit Union variable, revolving, or open-end loan; your interest rate will remain at the contracted loan rate upon conversion to Quantum Credit Union effective March 1, 2022. Should the interest rate change, Quantum Credit Union will provide notice to you in accordance with federal and state law.
